Fort Leonard Wood, MO
April 17 - 19, 2015
Venture Crew 2161 had a great weekend camping. Highlights of the trip were camping on the bank of Big Piney River, touring the military museums and barracks, trap shooting, bowling, mass at the base chapel, Mr. Hoffmann's jambalaya, Alex's apple/cherry cobbler, Meals Ready to Eat (MREs), and Sunday breakfast at the mess hall. The weekend weather was mostly dry except for some heavy rain on Sunday. A good time was had by all!
Thanks to Mr. Schnurbusch for coordinating this event & food shopping and thanks to his 2 lifelong buddies Mike and Bill for all their help. Thanks to Mr. Strebler for hauling the trailer and purchasing the fuel. Thanks to Staff Sargeant Palmer for his generous donation of the MREs.
