The participating Boy Scouts shall receive $25 each in their individual accounts which can be applied towards dues, scouting fees, camping fees or used to purchase scouting related equipment. The balance shall go in the troop's general fund.
Thanks, to everyone who participated in this event, the scouts, troop committee, parents, and our guest webelos who also attended. Thanks to Mr. Schnurbusch who provided several home grown pumpkins from the Apple Creek farm. Thanks to Mr. Besterfeldt for transporting the pumpkins from Stuckmeyers to St. Simon. Thanks to our Saturday night campers Mr. Menteer, Mr. Schnurbusch and Mr. Cain. Thanks to our troop treasurer Mrs. Cain for her coordination of this event.
Gravois Trail District's Fall Pacao was held 10/16 - 10/18 at S-F Scout Ranch. Congratulations to our Scouts for their excellent performance in the military themed program events. Our troop and patrols were presented Honor Awards, the highest. (Click on read more below for more photos and text.)
Saturday marked the first Crew 161 golf outing. We had great weather and a great time driving the golf carts and hitting some spectacular shots down the fairways. We had a short meeting before the scheduled tee time and then we went to the course. We were a group of six, including: Mr. Marin, Michael Menteer, Ian Bacic (Il Presidente), Tre Anderson, Mariano Marin, and John Stransky.
Story submitted by Chris Cain.
Well, we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
It was a beautiful day for a float. We woke up earlier than the traditional folk this Sunday morning and met on the school parking lot at 6:00 A.M. to begin our drive to Ozark Outdoors near Onondaga Cave. At Ozark Outdoors, we were fed a complimentary country style breakfast of bacon and biscuits n’ sausage gravy. After breakfast, we took a 30 minute bus ride to the put-in spot at Garrison’s access on the upper Meramec River. After we got the canoes in the water, we took a group picture. Our troop flotilla was seventeen canoes strong. (Click on read more below for more photos and text.)

We have never had a better week of weather at summer camp, warm days, cool nights, and no rain. “Scout Spirit” was exhibited by most of the boys most of the week. The scouts worked in their patrols so well it made it an easy week to be a leader.
The crew had a planning meeting and fall activities are listed on this website calendar. Also, check the facebook group. If you are a crew member or parent of a venturing crew member, let us know to get you included in the facebook group.
