Scouting for Food
Mehlville Fire Station
November 19, 2016
On Saturday November 19, St. Louis area scouts braved temperatures in the 30s and blustery winds to collect an estimated 2,195,060 donated food items for St. Louis area food banks. At Mehlville Fire House #5, Troop 161 scouts, Crew 2161 and St. Simon 7th Graders assisted in boxing the food collected in their local neighborhoods. Our scouts, parents and 7th graders helped box 1669 cases of food at this location. Thanks for all that participated in this annual project to help those less fortunate.

Upper Meramec River
August 14, 2016
It rained on us for about 2 1/2 hours. Other than that, the float went well. We collected some trash. We recovered a canoe left behind on a previous float. A good time was had by all. Thanks to all that helped.
Joining him for this special day were Master of Ceremonies John DiMercurio, Boy Scouts representative Terry Madden, and many fellow Scouts and relatives. Nathan presented mentor pins to John DiMercurio and Ken Boning.
